About the Hervey Bay Community Bank Tour de Bay Bike Ride The Friends of the New Hervey Bay Community Centre, Rotary Sunrise, and the Hervey Bay Neighbourhood Centre invite you to join the 'Hervey Bay Community Bank Tour de Bay Charity Bike Ride' and the Hervey Bay Community Carnival to be held on Sunday October 18th, 2009. We want you to raise more than a sweat and join us in helping raise money to build the new Hervey Bay Community Centre! Hop on your bike and join us for a fun filled day for the whole family. The route has been designed to cater to all riders. There is an easy flat run for beginners and younger folk and an optional challenging loop for the more experienced cyclists to take in some of Hervey Bay's high country. A band of volunteers will support your cycling efforts providing water and healthy snacks at intervals along the route. The ride will finish at the Botanic Gardens on Elizabeth Street, where a Community carnival will be in full swing, ready to welcome our intrepid riders! Riders contributing more than $500 will receive an exclusive 'Bike Jersey' designed especially for the event, or, a rider in this category may opt for the 'Dress Polo' shirt. Riders contributing between $250 and $500 will receive a 'Dress Polo' shirt, commemorating the inaugural 'Hervey Bay Community Bank Tour de Bay'. Riders contributing between $50 and $250 will receive the 'Hervey Bay Community Bank Tour de Bay' Tee Shirt.
