About the Tour de Bay Charity Bike Ride

The Hervey Bay Neighbourhood Centre and Rotary Sunrise, invite you to join the ‘Tour de Bay’ Charity Bike Ride to be held Sunday October 16th , 2011

We want you to raise more than a sweat, and join us in helping raise money in support of the Hervey Bay Youth Mentoring Program!

Hop on your bike and join us for a fun filled morning for the whole of the family.


The route has been designed to cater to all riders. There is an easy flat run for beginners and younger folk and an optional challenging loop for the more experienced cyclists to take in some of Hervey Bay’s high country, and for those who like a challenge -  try the 64 km ride!

A band of volunteers will support your cycling efforts providing water and healthy snacks at intervals along the route.

The ride will finish at the Botanic Gardens on Elizabeth Street, where a Community Breakfast will be ready to welcome our intrepid riders!

IN 2010 Riders qualified for the following -  ( 2011 details will be on this website soon.)

Riders raising more than $500 will receive an exclusive ‘Bike Jersey’ designed especially for the event, or, a rider in this category may opt for the ‘Dress Polo’ shirt.

Riders raising between $250 and $500 will receive a ‘Dress Polo’ shirt, commemorating the inaugural ‘Tour de Bay’.

Riders raising between $50 and $250 will receive the ‘Tour de Bay’ Tee Shirt.
