Dear Potential Sponsor/Donor Thank you for taking the time to read the enclosed New Community Centre Information Package and for your consideration of supporting the New Hervey Bay Community Centre project. To date, the combined financial commitments of the Fraser Coast Regional Council and the State Government is approximately $2.6 million. This equates to 50% of the required funding. The new community centre is now nearly complete. With funding from the three levels of government taken into consideration our calculations show the need to fundraise locally to the amount of $1,200,000. We have reached this goal, with the support from local businesses and the community. The Hervey Bay Neighbourhood Centre has attained Public Benevolent Institute status and all donations to the new centre are tax deductible.. All accepted donations 'in kind' will be eligible to receive a tax receipt. Through the generous support of our sponsors and donors, the New Community Centre promises to be a major landmark and visible focus for community infrastructure that will significantly contribute to the development of a 'City heart' for the high growth community of Hervey Bay.
